hello again all.
as we await the arrival of the latest full length we’re planning for summer. for THEMES there will be a lot of travel. there will be conflicts in the world that will continue to stir and as the people’s focus swings like a pendulum, from one thing to another. we will play shows in North America and we will bring copies of our music with us so you can have one. we’ll probably end up hanging out at some point. we might cook food together, or sit around a fire and talk about things we don’t understand, or how we can get to Afghanistan on tour by way of Turkey. we’ll stay up late and hang out in towns we used to live in and talk about all of the amazing parts of them that we maintain in our souls. most importantly we’ll be with you, which doesn’t happen nearly enough!

GREAT NEWS. we’ve finished tracking our latest full length album, to be entitled
“THE PHANTOM”
it’s been three months of workin in a few different studios and we’ve seen some amazing musical contributions from some very talented friends. Hats off to our main man and Producer Cory Gray, as well as: Brian Wright, Cliff Hayes, J. Clark, Simon Matt Carillo, for making this album come to life. this is just the beginning
although there is no release date, we expect Album to be ready by May. maybe even sooner. i also expect there to be some things to hear in the coming weeks. perhaps The Phantom sees it fit for us to release a new single song, perhaps a videograph or perhaps not…..perhaps a fire will start mysteriously somewhere, or perhaps there would be a reason for that fire. i like to think there isn’t a reason for anything, we’re just lucky enough to find them like post modern prospectors of hope and purpose. finding fuel to keep moving. always digging. never sleeping. at least not at night. that’s when the fires are lit.
the future is uncertian, and very very Filthy.

We have been in Goose Hollow recording the new THEMES Album.
There is something amazing happening here. I think when Jacy and I picked the songs for the record we really had no idea they would become these amazing pieces of inspiration to us beyond the album ideas.
So many instruments, people and time.
Cory gray is producing the record, and thankfully we have him! A musician that has an ear for producing!
He has also contributed everything from organ, trumpet, pedal bass, trombone, to musical guru!
We love Cory beyond words so to translate from another language we call him the Wisdomstar!
We have also named the spiders in the bathroom of the studio.
We have come to 3 AM with the belief that if this is the time a ghost is known to appear
then let it be known that we revisit our dreams night after night.
So Show Yourself!

hello again everyone. 2010 has been off to a raging start!
we’ve been in the studio, or rather, studios, here in the lush and lovely Portland. Our long time friend and compatriot Cory Gray ( of carcrashlander ) has been at the helm of our sonic sail boat traversing our treacherously etched song waters.
We’ve been working really hard with some amazing friends and fellow musicians here, drinking loads of coffee staying up real late, celebrating people’s birthdays, and doing weird things with sounds that made this era of THEMES music sound better than ever.
We are very excited about the new songs, and cannot wait to share them with you!
keep checking back here, as we are planning to do a limited edition release for pre-sale, on recycled vinyl, or corn plastic, or clay cylinders or flash drives, or something totally rad, that no one else will have cause we’ll make so few you might not even get one until you buy it on ebay for a mortgage payment….
yeah…right…time will tell. …we may, however, throw a sneak peek up on here so you can give your ears a taste of what we’ve been up to..
